Steinbank-Eiche wird Nationalerbe-Baum

On May 29, 2026, the Steinbank Oak will be officially designated a National Heritage Tree.

The designation of National Heritage Trees is an initiative of the German Dendrological Society aimed at protecting, preserving, and caring for 100 potential ancient trees in Germany. We are pleased to announce that the Steinbank Oak in Muskauer Park has now been selected as a National Heritage Tree. Its distinctive feature—and the source of its name—is the stone bench that has grown into it.
